Choosing Summer Activities to Inspire Learning

Dr. Jeri Janowsky is the Executive Director of Saturday Academy, Portland’s leading nonprofit organization providing hands-on learning experiences through classes, camps and internships for more than 6,000 children annually in grades 2-12 in the areas of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). She taught and did research for 30 years on the brain basis of learning and memory during early development and in aging at the University of California, San Diego, University of Oregon and Oregon Health and Science University. Jeri holds a bachelor’s degree from Reed College and a Ph.D. from Cornell University.
