Camp Kesher, NCSY’s newest summer program in the Pacific Northwest, is a sleep-away camp for Jewish students who love the outdoors and strive to reach new heights. From July 25th to August 8th, this two-week experience is open to 3rd-9th graders while 10th-12th graders can apply as counselors.
With safety and security as our top priority, Camp Kesher will uphold strict COVID policies as well as ensure that all staff are fully vaccinated. Campers will cultivate a genuine connection to the outdoors, and further develop a sense of Jewish pride. Kesher is the Hebrew word for connection and at Camp Kesher, kids make meaningful connections that will last for years to come. With exciting trips designed to engage and challenge, Camp Kesher’s campers build confidence that will carry them through the school year.
Across the Northwest, kids will be white water rafting, camping, hiking, playing sports, creating art, learning Jewish cooking, and so much more. Located at the beautiful Macleay Conference and Retreat Center in Salem, Oregon, Camp Kesher is complete with state-of-the-art bunks, a gym, game room, pool, indoor and outdoor spaces, and much more.
This one-of-a-kind summer camp should be accessible to all and our scholarship program makes that a reality. If finances are a barrier to participating in Camp Kesher, inquire within and we will make sure all are welcome and accepted.
This year specifically, we have raised additional scholarship dollars so our kids don’t have to spend another summer in isolation.
Camp Kesher’s 2021 session will run from July 25th-August 8th. For more information, or for interest in other dates, contact the Camp Director, Meira Spivak: (503) 757-3037.
