Welcome to the One River School of Art + Design community! We offer fun in-studio and online classes, camps, and birthday parties for grades K-12th and adults. We have a unique method for teaching art and design that allows students to have fun, build friendships, be creative, make inspiring artwork, and learn about contemporary art and artists while growing their skills and techniques. We welcome all skill levels and provide both group and one-on-one support for each student.
CLASSES: Our in-studio and online classes are ongoing and year-round which means you can jump in at any time. We offer focused classes such as Focus on Drawing and Animation as well as general classes like Art Shuffle that span a range of techniques and mediums.
CAMPS: We offer Spring Break Camps, Summer Camps, and Winter Camps. Most of our camps are week-long with morning and afternoon options. Our camps range from Realistic Portrait Drawing and Street Art Painting to Digital Manga.
CURRICULUM: Each lesson for camps and classes is based on contemporary artists and their practice. Students will learn techniques, skills, vocabulary, and knowledge related to and about each artist’s way of creating.
ABOUT TEACHERS: Teachers at One River School of Art + Design are carefully screened so that our students are provided with the right amount of technical support and individualized attention. Our research shows that when people are learning new creative concepts, it is important to have a teacher who instills trust and also has the skills to provide an inspiring lesson.
MATERIALS: We supply each student with their own bin of materials.
FACILITY: Our innovative facility is equipped with the latest technology which includes flat-screen TVs in each room, iPads for each teacher, and in the digital lab, touch-screen computers with stylist pens. We also have a gallery space to engage and inspire students. Here we exhibit both national and international professional artists as well as our own student-artists.
HEALTH AND SAFETY: We take health and safety very seriously and follow CDC guidelines and other protocols to ensure the well-being of students and staff.
