The 8 Seconds Rodeo arrives in Portland for its 4th year for a one-night spectacle of sport, culture, and community on Saturday, June 21, 2026, at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum. Expected to draw thousands, the nation’s premier celebration of modern Black cowboy culture brings a high-energy fusion of elite rodeo competition, music, and immersive storytelling to the Pacific Northwest.
More than a rodeo, 8 Seconds is a live cultural experience—spotlighting the legacy, style, and athleticism of Black cowboys and cowgirls while reintroducing Western culture through a fresh, contemporary lens.
This year’s Portland show features a stacked lineup of events including Bull Riding, Bareback Bronco Riding, Barrel Racing, and Mutton Bustin’, with top athletes competing for a $60,000 purse.
The night extends beyond the arena floor with live music, cultural performances, and a crowd that reflects the next generation of Western culture—diverse, style-forward, and deeply connected to community.
