FreeThe 12th Archaeology Roadshow Returns to PSU Campus
The Archaeology Roadshow once again returns to Portland State University, Saturday, May 11, 10 am- 2 pm. Come immerse yourself in the history and archaeology of Oregon through our exhibits and hands-on activities hosted by archaeologists and heritage specialists from PSU, Tribes, museums, private and nonprofit organizations, and government agencies. Our 2024 theme is the Archaeology of Food: try salmon, elk, or wappato and learn more about foods that continue to be important to people in our area. Bring personal objects (stone tools, pottery, animal bones) you wish to learn more about to a panel of experts who will help you interpret your find. No financial appraisals are given. This family friendly event gives visitors of all ages the chance to learn more about Oregon’s past and its connections to us today. It is completely free and open to all.
10 am-2pm, Saturday, May 11, PSU Campus, Hoffmann Hall Plaza, 1833 SW 11th Ave. Free. To learn more, visit archaeologyroadshow.org or email archshow@pdx.edu.
