Formerly the Hillsboro Air Fair, this free, all-ages event gives the community a closeup look at airport operations and career opportunities in aviation, with aircraft tours, kids activities, live music and more.  

Now in its 25^th year—and returning with a new name—Hillsboro Airport is hosting a one-day celebration that invites the community onto the runway to learn more about how the airport works and the jobs it creates.  

Block Party at the Airport offers behind-the-scenes access to real business jets, airplane restoration projects and airfield bus tours of Oregon’s second-busiest airport. But the fun doesn’t stop there: Enjoy a flight simulator, pilot meet and greets, a Kids Zone, live music, and food trucks throughout the day. Whether you’re a plane enthusiast or just looking for a good time, this is an event for everyone! There will also be a chance for the next generation to learn about career opportunities in aviation, from maintenance and engineering to piloting.  

 The free event is sponsored by the Port of Portland, which manages the Hillsboro Airport.
