Join us for story time and hands-on activities celebrating Toby’s Farm Adventure. Hear the author read the story\, then meet the illustrator for a fun\, interactive drawing activity where kids can learn how to draw farm animals. This family-friendly event invites young readers to explore creativity\, storytelling\, and compassion through art and imagination. Perfect for children and caregivers alike.\n\n\nJulie Showers and her mother\, Marie Showers\, created the “Toby” children’s book series to help young readers understand homelessness and second chances. Inspired by real programs and relationships at Blanchet House and Farm\, their stories foster empathy\, reduce stigma\, and spark meaningful conversations for families and classrooms.\n\n \n\n\nEva Wrzesinski is a Portland-based multimedia artist whose work draws inspiration from the natural world\, childhood\, and identity.
