DESCRIPTION:Join us to celebrate the Day of Books and Roses\, also known as St. George’s Day and Sant Jordi’s Day!\n\n\n🌹 The Day of Books and Roses is an annual tradition in Catalonia\, and is honored through the exchange of books and roses between loved ones. The holiday itself has a strong antifascist undercurrent following State propaganda through the adoption of Sant Jordi\, and a campaign to promote fascistic literature under Francisco Franco’s fascist rule of Spain.\n\n\n📚 The subsequent reclamation of the holiday by the free people of Catalan after the Franco dictatorship was toppled has cemented it as an important piece of Catalonian heritage\, as well as an international symbol of antifascist action against State control of literature.\n\n \n\n\nWe’re celebrating the Day of Books and Roses by offering a bonus 15% trade-in credit + an origami rose with every trade-in!\n\n\n🎟️ 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱\, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗥𝗦𝗩𝗣𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗱\n\n\n📍Where: 4555 N Williams Ave\n\n\n⌛When: April 23rd\, 2026 11a to 5p\n\n\n‼️As always\, events are sober\, sensory-friendly\, and 𝗺𝗮𝘀𝗸𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱.
