Family Forest Day at Hoyt Arboretum

July 13 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

In our first Family Forest Day of the 2024 season, we will be gathering under the Stevens Pavilion to celebrate the many ways that ‘Trees Are Homes’!

Hoyt Arboretum educators will lead interactive stations focused on forest habitats with activities such building fairy houses, and arborist Ryan Gilpin will be sharing his knowledge at his table, ‘Tree Care for Birds’.

They will be joined by local children’s entertainer Make Music with Matt (formerly known as Tallulah’s Daddy) who will play energetic music at the top of every hour during the event.

HAF is also excited to partner with author Leslie Barnard Booth for a reading of her book One Day This Tree Will Fall accompanied by a puppet show performance at 11am.
