DESCRIPTION:Who would want to live alone\, miles and miles from their closest neighbor? Come hear the stories of brave men and women who faced danger to be fire lookouts living high above the forest canopy. Try your hand at the equipment used by these dedicated individuals and explore today’s wildfire detection methods. This program will begin with a presentation followed by a short climb to the top of the Tillamook Forest Center fire lookout tower.
