DESCRIPTION:Go By Bike Day at Oaks Park is a chance for community members to pedal their way to Oregon’s favorite amusement park. By doing so\, not only will they be choosing a greener way to travel\, but they’ll be connecting with their community and making joyful memories along the way. On top of that\, they’ll be saving big too: Guests who arrive by bike will receive 25% off Ride Wristbands for the entire day.\n\n\n“Go By Bike Day at Oaks Park is a celebration of bicycling\, of fun at Oaks Park and of the community coming together\,” said Emily MacKay\, Oaks Park’s Marketing and Events Director. “We can’t think of a better way to bring people together to have fun at Oaks Park and to travel in a fun\, healthy and eco-friendly way.”\n\n\nGo By Bike Day will run from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday\, May 3\, at Oaks Park. Biking access to Oaks Park is incredibly convenient\, with the Springwater Corridor trail running directly past the park’s front gate. Guests who arrive by bike can park in the special event bike parking area in front of the classic Oaks Park Ferris Wheel to receive their discount wristband voucher.\n\n \n\n\nThe event\, made possible with the support of Metro and the Federal Transportation Administration\, will include a range of cycling-focused festivities\, including:\n\n\n\nFree bike tune-ups from local bike shop Sellwood Cycle Repair.\nA DIY bike decoration station with custom bike license plates.\nA bike-themed raffle for gear and accessories.\nFree bike valet parking from local bike valet company Go By Bike.\n\nEditor’s note: This event is a community submission.
