Santa will be on hand for photos and he will be officiating the tree lighting ceremony for all to see. This FREE outdoor event will feature festive treats, lively musical entertainment, and take-home activities for kids. Peruse beautiful lights and decorations while lively music fills the air and visit community booths while you catch up with friends and neighbors. Of course, the evening wouldn’t be complete without some warm cocoa and a special appearance from Santa. Presented by Happy Valley Parks and Recreation, this event is sure to get everyone into the holiday spirit.

Are your children interested in writing a letter to Santa?

Santa has let us know how excited he is to receive your special letters and will once again be issuing the City an official North Pole sub-station to be installed in front of City Hall. Once you are done writing your letter, just drop it off in the designated mailbox and on its way to the North Pole it will go! Santa let us know that he plans to write a response to each letter he receives, so be sure to follow all the directions on the worksheet, so he can successfully send his reply.

• Please note: Santa’s mailbox will only be accepting letters between Dec. 1-Dec. 15. The last bundle of mail to Santa will be picked up by 5pm on Friday, Dec. 15, so make sure your letters are submitted by the deadline. Kids can expect to hear back from Santa by Dec. 23.
