Hello, Hello, Hello,
Ping Pong the Panda here.
Come on out for some safe fun in the sun this Memorial Day Weekend as the Portland Puppet Museum opens its beautiful Outdoor Garden Theater. Saturday May 28th and Sunday May 29th at 2pm to 3pm. Join Icicle the Baby Blues Lion and Rufus the Banjo playing Hound Dog as they present “Icicle’s Rock and Roll Kid’s Puppet Show”.
Take a magical journey into the rock and roll songs of the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. This fun filled interactive family show features over 75 colorful puppets, that the kids and folks in the audience get to work with us.
Let’s bungle in the Jungle with “LION SLEEPS TONIGHT” with a trunk just overflowing with monkeys, giraffes, and elephants. Then jump into the world of Legends as we board Noah’s Ark and load the animals two by two as we present the Irish Rovers, “THE UNICORN SONG”, and of course there will be Unicorns. Catch a wave in “UNDER THE SEA”, featuring four-foot-tall mermaids, sea turtles, pirates , fish, and crabs. Find your inner Chi as we practice Kung Fu with our own KUNG FU MASTER, training his students in the middle of soaring Chinese six-foot sky dragons.
We finish up our journey with a colorful Caribbean Carnival of dancing monkeys and critters lead by a giant eight-foot ostrich in a celebration of “DON’T WORRY BE HAPPY” and the “MACARENA”.
This interactive puppet show has been a fan favorite though out Portland for the past 7 years. The show is apex 45 minutes long, and perfect for children of all ages.
