SUMMARY:Kidical Mass Bike Ride to Frozen Yogurt
DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the 18th anniversary of Kidical Mass PDX with a bike ride downtown to get frozen yogurt! This family-friendly\, kid-paced bike ride was founded in June 2008 on a route downtown similar to this one\, ending at an ice cream shop.\n\n\nThis year we’ll ride from The Fields park in NW Portland to Director Park\, where we can get self-serve frozen yogurt with toppings at Tartberry\, our local Fro-Yo shop. The ride is free\, but bring money for frozen yogurt.\n\n\nMeet at 2:00pm\, ride at 2:15pm. The ride is a loop\, 3 miles total\, with a 30 minute break at the park and yogurt shop after 1.5 miles\, so it is suitable for most young bike riders who can pedal their own bike without training wheels. We should be back to the start at 4:00 pm.\n\n \n\n\nWe ride at a moderate pace for little pedalers and parents on cargo bikes. Kids should wear a helmet\, be able to balance and pedal in a straight line\, start and stop. Cargo bikes\, tandems\, trailers and tag-a-longs are great for kids who haven’t learned to pedal.
