SUMMARY:Sasquatch: Ancestral Guardians
DESCRIPTION:“We must walk lightly when we are between worlds with this sacred being.”  – Phillip Cash Cash \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIndigenous peoples have long been in relationship with and shared stories about sacred forest protectors\, often called Sasquatch and Bigfoot. The works in this exhibition are made by Indigenous artists and honor generations of spiritual practices\, storytelling\, and tradition. Leave your preconceived notions behind and immerse yourself\, not in the question of if Sasquatch exists\, but rather\, how are we existing with and honoring this non-human other. \nThis exhibition will run from May 30\, 2025\, to January 4\, 2026\, at the Discovery Museum. \nCurated to align with the mission of World Forestry Center\, this exhibition was created in collaboration with these Indigenous artists and the High Desert Museum in Bend\, Oregon\, which featured the exhibition Sensing Sasquatch in 2024. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe exhibition is advised by and consists of original artwork by:  Phillip Cash Cash\, Ph.D. (Nez Perce\, Cayuse)\, HollyAnna CougarTracks DeCoteau Littlebull (Yakama\, Nez Perce\, Cayuse\, Cree)\, Charlene “Tillie” Dimmick (Warm Springs)\, Frank Buffalo Hyde (Nez Perce\, Onondaga) and Rocky LaRock (Salish)\, Greg Archuleta (Grand Ronde). \nLearn more about the exhibit here.

DESCRIPTION:Go view the incredible creations of Canstruction® at Pioneer Place as a family! Canstruction® is a unique international charity which hosts exhibitions and competitions of giant whimsical and wildly inventive sculptures made entirely out of full cans of food. After they are built\, the teams of architects\, engineers\, and contractors display their structures to the public to compete for winning titles. At the end of the event\, all food is donated to Oregon Food Bank. This is especially vital now\, as the food bank has seen a 31% increase in visits to meal sites over the past year. \n   \nThe Portland event has raised 701\,000 pounds of food and nearly $250\,000 dollars in our 28 years to help fight hunger in Oregon and Clark County\, Washington!  \n  \nTo vote for your favorite sculpture and support Oregon Food Bank directly\, visit OFB’s Canstruction page: www.OregonFoodBank.org/Canstruction2025 \nTo feed and inspire the world – one can at a time.

DESCRIPTION:“We must walk lightly when we are between worlds with this sacred being.”  – Phillip Cash Cash \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIndigenous peoples have long been in relationship with and shared stories about sacred forest protectors\, often called Sasquatch and Bigfoot. The works in this exhibition are made by Indigenous artists and honor generations of spiritual practices\, storytelling\, and tradition. Leave your preconceived notions behind and immerse yourself\, not in the question of if Sasquatch exists\, but rather\, how are we existing with and honoring this non-human other. \nThis exhibition will run from May 30\, 2025\, to January 4\, 2026\, at the Discovery Museum. \nCurated to align with the mission of World Forestry Center\, this exhibition was created in collaboration with these Indigenous artists and the High Desert Museum in Bend\, Oregon\, which featured the exhibition Sensing Sasquatch in 2024. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe exhibition is advised by and consists of original artwork by:  Phillip Cash Cash\, Ph.D. (Nez Perce\, Cayuse)\, HollyAnna CougarTracks DeCoteau Littlebull (Yakama\, Nez Perce\, Cayuse\, Cree)\, Charlene “Tillie” Dimmick (Warm Springs)\, Frank Buffalo Hyde (Nez Perce\, Onondaga) and Rocky LaRock (Salish)\, Greg Archuleta (Grand Ronde). \nLearn more about the exhibit here.

DESCRIPTION:Go view the incredible creations of Canstruction® at Pioneer Place as a family! Canstruction® is a unique international charity which hosts exhibitions and competitions of giant whimsical and wildly inventive sculptures made entirely out of full cans of food. After they are built\, the teams of architects\, engineers\, and contractors display their structures to the public to compete for winning titles. At the end of the event\, all food is donated to Oregon Food Bank. This is especially vital now\, as the food bank has seen a 31% increase in visits to meal sites over the past year. \n   \nThe Portland event has raised 701\,000 pounds of food and nearly $250\,000 dollars in our 28 years to help fight hunger in Oregon and Clark County\, Washington!  \n  \nTo vote for your favorite sculpture and support Oregon Food Bank directly\, visit OFB’s Canstruction page: www.OregonFoodBank.org/Canstruction2025 \nTo feed and inspire the world – one can at a time.

DESCRIPTION:In music\, “do” is foundational\, just like the first few months of life. Grow and bond with your infant as we explore the world around us through song\, movement\, and play. Grownups will be guided through activities that encourage age appropriate development while gaining support and friendship along the way. \n This class is taught as a free bi-monthly workshop. Grownups will be allowed time and space to learn and connect with both other grownups and their infants. Because of this\, only grownups and the enrolled infant are permitted to attend. Space is limited and registration is required.
