A Healthy Start: Nutrition 101 for Kids
Do you feel totally overwhelmed by the process of feeding your kid(s)? Trying to understand and juggle nutrition guidelines, with limited time to cook and picky eating tendencies can be quite a feat. We know that our kids need proper nourishment to grow, but what exactly does that mean and what do we do if they won’t eat what we’re serving? Come join Registered Dietitian, pediatric feeding expert and mom of two to learn how to make mealtimes healthful and enjoyable. You will leave with the tools you need to successfully plan meals, resources, and ideas of what to serve and even get to sample some delicious recipes.
Olivia Martino Blodgett is a Registered Dietitian, Personal Trainer and Personal Chef. She started her nutrition career working at WIC (Women’s Infants and Children), followed by a few years in a pediatric obesity clinic in Louisville. Throughout this time, she worked with hundreds of families, teaching them how to implement healthy habits into their homes. She founded her private practice, Nourish Northwest ten years ago, where she continues to focus on family health. Olivia is a mom of two girls, one of which is a picky eater. It wasn’t until starting a family of her own that she realized the unique challenges that feeding a family brings about. Struggling with feeding her own family has further fueled her passion for working with children and families.
