Welcoming all budding storytellers, comedians, musicians, and poets! We’re hosting Hammer + Jacks Open Mic Night and you’re invited to sign up! 🎤✨ REGISTER ONLINE, LIMITED SPOTS.

This is a welcoming, low-stakes environment for kids to practice performing in front of a small audience and being part of an audience themselves. Finding the courage to get up on stage can show it’s fun to try new things, which makes the idea of “messing up” not so scary! Self-esteem can soar after an experience on stage. It feels GOOD to hear others laugh at your joke or applaud your dance skills, and hearing the audience clap at the end of your performance is an incredible feeling!

It also gives parents the opportunity to refer to the experience later: “Remember when you did the Open Mic and the audience loved your story? You were nervous before that too. You can do this!”

The show will be held in our COVID-careful event space, The Rec Room. To keep our most vulnerable visitors safe, we limit capacity on spaced-out benches and ask all visitors to wear a mask. Performers are required to wear masks on stage and the mic will be cleaned between performances.
