Sing, Sign & Play @ SWPMA PLAY In SW Hillsdale
Join Teachers Wally and Lara every Tuesday and Thursday for ongoing big-body play meetups for littles ages 0-4 years (and their adults) at the clean, soft, padded play space of Southwest Portland Martial Arts play campus [6315 SW Capitol Highway in Hillsdale Town Center] as part of their SWPMA PLAY! early childhood program.
People hang out and visit, and from 9:30-9:45, Lara pulls out the ukulele and everyone sings, learns some fun signs, and shares a theme-related story together. There’s a little more play time and then cleanup at the end too.
The greater PLAY! program centers on active & prosocial play that allows caretakers and their young children to comfortably connect with other community members.
Sessions are offered on a sliding scale-basis ($1-$10) to help allow people to pay according to whatever makes the most sense for their budget. Please pre-register, as possible:
Loads of super fun, age-appropriate soft gym play equipment will be set out. *Caretakers of all stripes are very welcome to come play @ all walks of life, gender, ability/ASL experience, and background!*
