DESCRIPTION:Kickstand Comedy in the Park is a weekly free stand-up comedy show that has become a staple of Portland summers. Featuring live comedy from the Pacific Northwest’s favorite local and national comedians\, it’s a one-of-a-kind way to laugh in one of the city’s most beautiful outdoor spaces (Laurelhurst Park). Crowd favorites Julia Corral and Rachelle Cochran return as co-hosts\, guiding audiences through a diverse lineup of Portland\, regional\, and national talent each week. \nEach Friday\, audiences of approximately 3\,000 gather to enjoy an evening of comedy under the trees\, celebrating hometown favorites and discovering new comedic voices. Throughout the summer\, Kickstand invites support for its mission-driven programming\, including scholarships\, BIPOC classes\, sliding scale admission\, and ASL interpretation. \nComedy in the Park is free and open to the public.
