DESCRIPTION:Join us for Wildfire Community Preparedness Day as we learn\, connect\, and take action to keep our communities fire‑adapted and resilient.\n\n\n\nThe Tillamook Forest Center is hosting a special screening of Samurai in the Oregon Sky\, a film exploring how an attempted WWII wildfire ignition near Brookings\, Oregon ultimately led to an unexpected reconciliation and lasting friendship between the pilot and the community. Join us to learn the connection between this historic event and Oregon Department of Forestry lookouts.\n\n\n\nOregon State Fire Marshal will have a special presentation on wildfire readiness\, community risk reduction\, and practical steps you can take to prepare your home and neighborhood.\n\n \n\n\n\nAnd of course\, no event would be complete without a visit from Smokey Bear! Stop by to say hello\, snap a photo\, and learn a few tips about preventing wildfires.\n\n\n\nCome spend the day gaining knowledge and engaging in activities designed to empower and inform.
