From our friends at Soccer Shots:
Soccer Shots Camps focus on what’s fun for children — play. Parents can expect their children’s camp days to be filled with creativity, silliness and imagination as the games we use to teach soccer skills also involve pretending to do and be all sorts of characters and creatures. Three main things tend to set Soccer Shots Camps apart:
Coaches: Soccer Shots has the best coaches in the business. You can feel confident that the person coaching your child has met our strict coaching standards and has been trained to coach children in these age groups. Certified Soccer Shots coaches working in low coach-to-player ratios teaching our age-appropriate curriculum ensure each camper has a caring, supported experience.. Each day of camp, coaches focus on individual soccer development, team-building and character development. The games we’ll play support the healthy development of coordination, balance and agility every young body needs.
Curriculum: Our expert-approved curriculum aligns with childhood education standards. Your child will learn from a curriculum that is built for his/her age group. Our age-appropriate curriculum places an emphasis on character development and skill building. Our program is created under the guidance of childhood education specialists, MLS and USL professional soccer players, and experienced and licensed soccer coaches. We are constantly re-evaluating and updating our programs to stay current with childhood education standards.
Communication: Parents get a professional experience with ongoing communication. You will always know what your child is learning in Soccer Shots, and can expect a responsive and professional experience from our staff.
Soccer Shots Summer Camps are for ages 4-8. At the beginning of camp, children will be divided into age appropriate groups. Preschoolers will be taught our Classic Camp Curriculum and K-2nd graders will experience our Premier Curriculum. Each Camp week runs 4 days T-F, 9am-noon. Each camp day will include a “Character Concept” that will be explained and highlighted. Players develop their balance coordination and agility through imaginative play and soccer skills building games. Camps include small-group scrimmage time and other age appropriate options such as crafts, team building exercises, snack time, or even literature. And, of course, plenty of opportunities to SCORE GOALS!
