From our friends at German International School
The German International School (GIS) is an independent language immersion school located in Beaverton. They offer a German language track and a Chinese language track for children two years old through 5th grade. No German or Mandarin language experience is required for their Twos, Preschool, or Kindergarten programs.
GIS prides itself on offering small class sizes. Small classes give children opportunities to play cooperatively with friends and foster independence through problem solving and self help skills. They focus on the whole child, including their intellectual, social, and emotional development.
Utilizing the International Baccalaureate framework for their programs provides the foundation for educating well-rounded, globally minded citizens who grow to become independent, lifelong learners. The close-knit community provides families a school community that is vibrant, engaging and has an open-minded perspective.
If you believe a bilingual education is right for your children, or are just interested to learn more about what GIS can offer your family, visit their website and schedule a tour to learn more.
