Alpengirl Camp

Alpengirl Adventure Camps for Girls offers overnight multi-adventure camps in MT & WA for 8-14 days in small groups of 10-12 campers with 2 trip guides, 1:5 or 1:6 ratio, ACA accredited since 1997. Campers enjoy wilderness-based camping with hiking, riding, climbing, surfing, yoga, rafting and more!


Oregon Children’s Theatre

Kim Davies/Girls Rock Enpowerment Camp

Girls Rock Empowerment Camp/ Workshop offers one camp for 7th-9th graders (August 7-11) and one for 9th-12th graders (July 24-28).  Kids will use creative processes (art, visualization, discussion, journaling, games) to learn more about themselves and navigate anxiety so they can live a more empowered and fun life. Camp is limited to 10 to foster connection and community. Topics may include: procrastination, befriending your fears, friendships, social media, self-criticism, and perfectionism. Camps are located in SW Portland, and run from 10am-2pm.


Lovegood Performing Arts Company

Does your teen want to hone their dance, improv, audition, or technical theater skills this summer?  Lovegood Performing Arts Company has targeted  summer camp opportunities for teens and young adults available throughout the summer taught by professional performing arts educators.  Scholarships and payment plans are available.


PIVOT PDX

At PIVOT PDX, kids will explore performing as an outlet for creativity, artistry, humor, and expression. Activities such as charades, musical dots, find the beat, pass the move, sketch comedy, and hand puppets, will be explored at each camper’s comfort level. Camps are split into two age groups and the younger age group has a half- or full-day option. Mutual aid spots (no pay  and food provided for marginalized communities) are available in each session.


BODYVOX

In Teen Intensive, Next Generation, students will take technique classes taught by company dancers, be involved in a creation process, learn company repertoire, and be a part of an informal showcase at the end of the week. In addition, they will participate in a film course, acrobatics, and other disciplines.

Northwest Children’s Theater

Northwest Children’s Theater’s award-winning summer camps are coming to a neighborhood near you! Whether you’re new to theater or you’re ready to enhance your acting, singing, and dancing skills, there’s something for everyone at NWCT. Tweens and teens can dive into specific skills like musical theater, stage combat, and technical theater and design during half-day camps; or they can be a part of a play: Into the Woods, Nevermore Academy, or Princess Bride.

One River School has exceedingly cool summer camps for artistic middle schoolers and high schoolers. Week-long, half-day camps include foam crafting for cosplay costumes, realistic graphite portraits, street art tutorials, advanced Adobe Photoshop illustration and much more. Morning and afternoon camps throughout the summer.


Beta Blues Robotics Summer Camp

Seventh- and eighth-grade girls who love STEM will be in heaven at the St. Mary’s Academy Beta Blues Robotics Summer Camp. In this first-of its kind program, girls will make a fully functioning robot using CAD programming, 3D printers, power tools and more. July 17-21, 9 am-4 pm Monday to Thursday and Friday 9 am-12:30 pm.


Balance Overnight Soccer Camp

The Balance Overnight Soccer Camp for ages 9-17 gets kids and teens off their cell phones to enjoy nature, splash on a slip ‘n’ slide and pool, play soccer, float on a river and more. The weeklong camps in Vernonia are for all skill levels. Boys’ camp: June 22-26; girls’ camp: July 16-20.


CampOUT

At CampOUT, a new camp from a former middle-school educator, LGBTQ+ youth entering seventh through ninth grade partake in activities that bring joy and resilience to their daily lives such as yoga and mindfulness, arts and crafts, creative writing and more. Two weekly 9 am-3pm sessions: June 19-23 and June 26-30. Enrollment lottery: March 15-31; open enrollment thereafter, if spots remain. Scholarships available.

Airway Science for Kids

Airway Science for Kids aims to even the playing field for kids and teens from historically unserved groups by offering free, STEAM-focused summer camps for 7- to -16-year-olds. Camps are divided by age group, and each child can apply for one four-day camp.

Friends of Tryon Creek

Learn more about Friends of Tryon Creek Teen Camp Counselors! Counselors support safe, fun, and educational outdoor experiences for youth attending Tryon Forest Adventures nature day camp program at Tryon Creek State Natural Area in SW Portland.
