If you love seasonal sourdough, this small, local baker has the treats for you. Find Dough Mama goods around town at various farmstands and at their Battleground boutique location – check their Facebook page for the latest updates. Recently shared specials include: maple espresso sourdough and roasted garlic rosemary sourdough, brown butter sourdough pumpkin cookies and pumpkin whoopie pies.
Brunch’d
The Brunch’d food cart in Battleground cooks up sweet and savory delights year round, and the fall specials don’t disappoint. Recently spotted on their social media: homemade pumpkin cheesecake with a Biscoff crust and decadent caramel bourbon sauce and a decadent chocolate cream pie.
Voodoo Doughnut
Not just a Portland experience, we love visiting the Vancouver Voodoo where you can stand at the window and watch them dunk and glaze. Magic Roast espresso frosting, a caramel swirl and pumpkin fluff filling or the pumpkin buttermilk bar. Check out the seasonal Pumpkin Spice Latte. Bonus: this location has free parking.
Simply Sweets
This small bakery tucked off the Columbia bike path often has seasonal surprises. On their regular menu for the “adventurous” eater is a perfect fit for fall with their Dirt & Worms cupcake, a chocolate cupcake topped with vanilla buttercream, chocolate cookie crumble, and gummy worms. If they have chocolate covered oreos in stock, grab some of those, too.
Dev’s Coffee Bar
Dev’s is known locally for their fantastic seasonal coffee flights. This September, the shop launched a flight of four featuring: Caramel Apple Lotus, Sunset & Spice, Barista’s Choice, and Pumpkin Pie Latte. They’re all so tasty!
