Great news reported by Bird Alliance of Oregon! One of the biggest roost of Swifts is at Abernethy Elementary School in southeast Portland. If you decide to visit view the swifts at the school (which typically funnel into their roost at dusk), please be mindful of the following :
-Bike, walk or ride public transit to avoid increased traffic and jammed parking for neighbors.
-Share the space by keeping walkways and roads clear, and respecting private property.
-Absolutely no drones are allowed.
-Be a good neighbor by taking any trash with you when you leave.
