Bridge City Theatre Camp
4227 North Lombard Street, Portland, OR, USA 97203
At Bridge City Theatre Camp, our mission is to provide a safe space for kids to explore the frontiers of their creative imagination through the process of making theatre magic!
We believe that the process of creating theatre is the best education we can give children for the future of our community and society at large.
Many lifelong skills are honed in the theatre. Among them are: learning your part, finding your voice, listening, showing up, being on time, collaborating, making space for others, respecting others’ contributions, practicing your craft, and sharing your innate gifts.
With over 60 years of combined, in-depth experience in acting, directing and design, we are committed to making sure your child learns these vital lessons while also having the time of their lives.
We welcome children from all backgrounds. We celebrate each child's personal identity. We care about each child's abilities and lived experience.
Over the course of two fun-filled, action-packed weeks, campers embark on an unforgettable journey of theatrical fusion. From designing sets and costumes to acting and directing, campers have the opportunity to explore all facets of theatre and to focus on what intrigues them most. Guided by seasoned professionals and educators, campers dive headfirst into the enchanting realm of storytelling, character development, and stagecraft in the dual settings of a lovely school campus and an adjacent woodland park. This creative, collaborative effort celebrates the spirit of community, camaraderie, and compassion. Our time together will culminate in a one-time-only theatrical event for the whole family to enjoy!
