A Language Immersion and IB World School in the heart of Beaverton!

At GIS our mission is to provide a collaborative community with a student-centered learning environment that encourages growth into bilingual world citizens.

For 29 years we have offered language and cultural immersion in German, with the addition of a Chinese immersion track in 2020 and a middle school program that launched in 2023 at our expanded campus.

Now students in the Portland metro region can experience the gift of learning another language with the framework of the lauded International Baccalaureate curriculum from age 2 through 8th grade, with an English track in middle school for students with no language learning experience.

Our students strive for academic and creative excellence, embrace healthy, responsible behavior, and value independence and lifelong learning!

All of this combined with high-quality after-school, environmental, PE, and arts programs, small class sizes, and an accepting, supportive community.
