In the Write Now Portland Summer Camps, we write stories and play games at Mt. Tabor Park in SE Portland. Students activate their imagination, learn the three pillars of a story to guide their writing, and weave in the 5 senses to bring their story to life. Each day, we hike the park and play games that bring the kids close to nature and create a sense of connection and FUN. By the end of the week, students will have special spots in the park that they know and love, a story started and developed, and inspiration to keep writing. Your child will develop writing skills, play a variety of games in nature, and expand their creativity. Students of all writing levels are welcome. This camp is most effective for students who have some motivation to write and can work independently with guidance. For ages 8-12 years old. All camps are half-day, 9 am-12 pm.
