In partnership with the Rockstar Energy Open, Skate the River is a 5-mile ride open to all ages and abilities where participants are encouraged to skateboard, bike, or roll in honor of those affected by breast cancer. The ride supports B4BC’s mission to promote early detection and a healthy, active lifestyle as the best means of breast cancer prevention.
The ride will begin at 9 am at Governor Tom McCall Waterfront Park, near the entrance of the Rockstar Energy Open. Participants will then skate-bike-roll together in a sea pink, led by U.S Ski and Snowboard Hall of Famer, Olympic Medalist and B4BC Co-Founder Shannon Dunn-Downing, across the Steel and Tilikum Bridges before returning to the park at 11 am for awards and a finish line celebration. All ages and abilities on wheels are welcome to join this push for prevention and a special Best Pink Spirit Award will be given to the participant with the most standout outfit.
Registration is a $25 donation and includes a goodie bag, raffle tickets, and prizes for the top three fundraisers, both individuals and teams. For every $100 raised, participants will earn an additional 10 raffle tickets, giving them for even more chances to win incredible items from B4BC partners
