Want to get outside for a crisp fall morning in one of Portland many beautiful parks? Join Portland Parks & Recreation and partner organizations at the 22nd No Ivy Day at one of our many locations throughout the city. In the morning, volunteers will work together to remove ivy along with other invasively growing plant species from 9am-12noon. Not all locations are suitable for youth, check out Marshall Nature, Woods Memorial Nature Park, Woodlawn Park or Pier Park for a great event to go to with kids. FREE and no experience is necessary! Tools, gloves and instruction will be provided.
In the afternoon, PP&R staff will host the first Know-Ivy Crafting Workshop from 1-3pm at the newly renovated Mt. Scott Community Center to share knowledge about managing weedy introduced plants, get creative and connect with community. No experience necessary and open to all ages. You can sign up to volunteer or craft or both!
Learn more and register by visiting the No Ivy Day 2025 website. Email Monica.Hescheles@portlandoregon.gov with any questions. Hope to see you there!
