Portland Archaeology Roadshow

Join us for the 13th annual Archaeology Roadshow in Portland!  We’re taking our celebration of history and archaeology to East Portland’s Gateway Discovery Park on Saturday, May 31, 11 am- 3 pm.  Come immerse yourself in the heritage of our region through pop-up exhibits and hands-on activities hosted by over 35 organizations including Tribes, museums, government agencies, private companies and universities. Discover hidden Portland stories, make a stone tool or a basket, or throw an ancient spear.  Find out how to volunteer or chart a career in heritage — right here in the Pacific Northwest. To assist non-English speakers, we’ll have translators for Spanish, Russian and Cantonese.  Free, family friendly (and fun!) event gives visitors of all ages the chance to learn about Oregon’s past and its connection to us today
