Join us for a heart-centered gathering at the Shack at Sellwood Park for caregivers of special needs and neurodivergent children age 0-10, and their little ones. This is a chance to connect with others walking a similar path- to feel seen, supported, and less alone.
We’ll begin with a simple, circle-style sharing to hold space for what’s alive in us as parents, followed by time for relaxed socializing and deeper connection. Whether you’re in need of a moment of solidarity, a listening ear, or just the company of those who get it, you are warmly welcome.
Esmé Whritenour is a Sellwood mother of two, including a daughter with a very rare genetic disorder. She is also the founder of Raising Special Ones, an online community for families raising special needs children holistically. With nearly a decade of experience facilitating support circles and working with families as a birthworker and lactation counselor, Esmé is committed to creating spaces for families to find deeper connection with themselves and one another, so their children can thrive.
