Portland-area families, get ready for an unforgettable day trip! Powerland Heritage Park in Salem invites you to S.T.E.A.M.’d Up for Kids – a fantastic event packed with hands-on fun designed to ignite your child’s curiosity in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math.
Held at the unique 62-acre Powerland Heritage Park (just off I-5!), this event blends engaging S.T.E.A.M. activities with the wonder of Oregon’s rich mechanical and agricultural history. It’s where kids can get their hands dirty building, experimenting, and exploring!

- Build It Workshop: Let creativity run wild with hands-on building projects.
- Make & Take Fun: Learn the science behind ice cream making as you make it and eat it! And discover traditional rope making (take your creation home!).

- Accessibility: Many museums and areas are wheelchair accessible, but please be aware that some pathways are gravel. The Trolley is not wheelchair accessible, but the trolley museum is.
- Good to Know: Wear comfortable walking shoes – there’s lots to explore!
