If you’ve ever dreamed of hearing the whistle of a steam locomotive or stepping back into the golden age of railroading, now’s your chance. Something big is pulling into the station—Train Day at the Oregon Rail Heritage Center. This exciting day will be packed with family-friendly fun, train rides, history, and unforgettable experiences.
On Saturday, May 10, from 10:00 am – 6:00pm ORHC will be buzzing with activity. We’re calling all train passengers! Step aboard the Polson #2, a 112-year-old steam locomotive, for a 45-minute scenic journey along the Willamette River to Oaks Park and back. The Polson #2 will be assisted by the historic OPR 100 diesel engine.
Admission to the event is free—explore the exhibits, watch the locomotives come to life, and enjoy the festivities at no cost.
