We Found the Best Alternative to Peacock Lane

If the crowds at Peacock Lane aren’t your scene, turn your attention to these dazzling Portland homes west of the Willamette, where animated light displays steal the show. This route promises a magical, traffic-free Christmas experience—free of charge.

Home Light Display Route + Map

On the interactive map above, red stops feature animated light shows, and green stops are traditional holiday lights.

Follow this route for fabulous animated displays on the westside, plus plenty of traditional lights along the way. The drive is 42 minutes, plus stops. We spent just over an hour on this adventure.

  • Stop One: 14765 SW Scarlett Dr.
  • Stop Two: 13635 SW Walnut Ln.
  • Stop Three: 10495 SW 155th Ave.
  • Stop Four: 10340 SW 153rd Ave.
  • Stop Five: 17566 SW Albert Court, Beaverton (New to the route!)
  • BONUS STOP: SW Otter Lane (lots of neighborhood lights)
  • BONUS STOP: 13045 Santa Anita Dr.
  • Stop Six: 9625 SW New Forest Dr.
  • BONUS STOP: Wrap up the night at Beaverton City Park, where the playground sparkles with holiday lights.
