Starkwood Holiday Lights
For 65 years, Starkwood HOA has brightened East Portland by lighting our homes to spread warmth and cheer during this special time of year. This beloved tradition creates treasured memories for all who come to experience our hidden gem, and we warmly invite you to share in the magic with your friends and family. Whether you drive through (with lights dimmed) or take a leisurely stroll with a warm drink in hand, you’re sure to enjoy a moment to remember.
Specific Details
- Official Light Display: Dec 13 – 31, 5–11 pm
- Food Drive: Dec 19 – 21 (Sunshine Division)
- Absolutely VW Holiday Light Cruise: Sun, Dec 21, around 5:30 pm – 7pm
Driving-thru to see our light display: Avoid doing so on Sun, Dec 21st, 5:30p – 7p so you don’t interrupt the VW Light Cruise 
Walking through: Please park nearby on Stark St or any of the surrounding parking lots. This helps keep everything flowing and safe 
Public Transportation: Bus stop ID 6554, Route 70
Drive-Thru Instructions
- Dim Your Headlights: Use your dashboard dial/infotainment menu so everyone can enjoy the lights
- No Left Turns: This keeps all visitors, pedestrians, and fellow drivers safe.
- Stay on the Right: Keep right as you pass through the neighborhood until you exit onto Stark
- Exit Cul-de-Sacs with a Right Turn
- Watch for Pedestrians and Pets: People in dark clothing can be hard to see, especially on rainy days
- Drive Slowly: Take your time and absorb the magic!
Food Drive
Starkwood HOA is collecting food for Sunshine Division, which provides quick, direct food support throughout Portland. The drive lines up with the Absolutely VW Holiday Light Cruise weekend, a great excuse to donate and enjoy the show. Fri, Dec 19- Sun, Dec 22

Grab your friends (and their friends), dress for the weather, pour something warm, and get ready for a one-of-a-kind light show.
