Oregon Zoo

Nothing says summer in Portland like a warm evening outdoors with good food and live entertainment. Over the course of 10 Fridays from June to August, the Oregon Zoo hosts Zoo Nights: evenings filled with local music, food carts, activities for all ages, and the chance to get to know some of the animals active during twilight hours.


Northwest Children’s Theater

Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s beloved book flies from page to stage in Northwest Children’s Theater’s “The Little Prince,” LIVE July 20-August 4 at The Judy!

Intergalactic stories come to life, reminding us that “It is only with the heart that one can see rightly.”

This unique production features NWCT Alumni on stage and behind the scenes. Tickets are pay-what-you-will. Suggested price: $20-25.

Chockstone Climbing Guides offers rock climbing adventures for the whole family at Smith Rock State Park. Climb with local, certified guides and instructors psyched to guide your family on a fun, memorable day of climbing customized to suit your experience and goals.  They offer half day, full day and multi-day trips.  All necessary climbing gear is provided.

Multnomah County Library

Join Multnomah County Library for Rainbow Family Storytimes! Children from birth to age 6 (with a favorite adult) enjoy books highlighting LGBTQ+ families, along with songs, rhymes and movement activities building language, literacy, and community in an identity-supporting environment.
