FRACTURE! an interactive math horror experience

Oct 3 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Pay-What-You-Will Sliding Scale

Math is breaking. Space and time are fracturing. Someone or something is erasing numbers, rewriting equations, and opening a dreaded “ArithmeRift” in Portland’s Experiment PDX.

A group of math enthusiasts gathered to discuss irrational numbers at Portland’s hands-on science center, Experiment PDX. As an unintended result, a massive fracture in math known as “The ArithmeRift” has enveloped the venue. Those who have ventured near talk of cultists, deformed abominations, even cannibalism.

Thankfully, agents of the government’s Situationally Unstable Mathematics Mitigation (SUMM) Division have secured this “ArithmeRift.” For now. They need researchers — like you! — to enter the Fracture, confront whatever horrors await, and save our existence.

Explorations into the FRACTURE will commence from Thursdays through Sundays from October 2nd through October 12th, 2025, 7-10pm. Those who enter before 8pm will find a “Before Dark” version, suitable for those who want to save math, but prefer a less frightening and family-friendly experience. Those who enter after 8pm will find an “After Dark” version for those braver souls who like a good scare (including extreme darkness, flashing lights, loud noises, and sudden frights).

Groups will enter every fifteen minutes. Some may escape the FRACTURE!
