June is already upon us. Before you know it, summer vacation will be here, filled with ice cream cones and sprinklers, movies in the park and street fairs, and of course – swimming.
For some kids, swimming is pure unadulterated joy. For others, though, swimming can be a bit scary. Putting your face underwater takes some getting used to! Our friends at SafeSplash give us their tips for how to give your child confidence in the water here.
Whatever your child’s comfort level in the water, it’s also always a good idea to go over important water safety tips. The North Clackamas Aquatic Center compiled their top tips for a safe swim outing here.
