Join Portland Revels for Little Lights, a one hour-long mini-Christmas Revels designed for children ages three to seven.
This year, it’s a beautiful, silly story about three of Valhalla’s janitorial staff who misplace a magic box full of sunshine. Odin is not going to be happy if they can’t steal it back from the Yule Lads by the end of the longest night!
It’s going to be a long, difficult, and very funny, journey to bring back the light. With classic Nordic choral music from the Portland Revels children’s chorus, Revels Associate Music Director, Betsy Branch’s fantastic fiddling, and a fabulous arctic fox puppet, it’s a 50-minute show designed especially for Revelers ages three to seven. You and your youngest family members can join in the show, learn a traditional Danish tune, and dance with the children’s chorus to bring back the light.
Performances will be Friday, December 29, 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., and Saturday, December 30, 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on the Alder Stage at Artists Repertory Theater, located at 1516 SW Alder St, Portland.
