Kids Bowl Free All Summer Long

As part of the Kids Bowl Free program, your kids can bowl two games a day at participating bowling alleys for free!

How It Works

Find a participating bowling alley.

There are participating locations throughout Oregon and Washington, including Rainbow Lanes, Mt. Hood Lanes, Milwaukie Bowl, KingPins, and Park Lanes Family Entertainment Center. You can find them all here.

Register your child.

Registered kids receive coupons to play two FREE games of bowling every day during spring and summer. Age restrictions are determined by each bowling center.

Enjoy a fun, safe way to keep your child busy this summer.

Take a screen break and bowl every day! Present your coupon at the bowling alley and enjoy.

We tried it! Here’s what we learned.

This information was originally published in 2019, and we’ve made updates based on the 2024 program.

Shoe rental is additional. For example, at SuperPlay in Beaverton, where we signed up, it is $4.89 per person to rent shoes. One reader told us that her family bowls so much over the summer that they buy bowling shoes — and then sell them when the kids outgrow them.

If adults bowl, they pay the regular fees. Check the individual sites so you aren’t surprised. Kids Bowl Free does offer a Family Pass for adults; prices start at $34.95 and you’ll be able to purchase after you register your child. If you think at least one parent will bowl with the kids even a few times, it seems like good deal. They’ll also email frequent discounts for the Family Pass that lower the price.

Bowling is fun! Today’s lanes (and even shoes!) are much nicer than they used to be. It can be surprising how much kids enjoying bowling. With Kids Bowl Free, the outing might not be free (or even inexpensive, depending on how you do it), but it is still great, active (and air-conditioned) fun. You can send the sign-up link to a few friends, so friends can bowl together this summer, maximizing the fun — and the value.
