This summer, at cultural festivals throughout the city, your family can celebrate and learn about other cultures, taste new foods, and take part in dancing, singing, and other entertainment.
3 Days of Aloha in Vancouver
Over 20,000 visitors have swayed to the rhythm as hula dancers and Polynesian singers filled the park with the heartbeat of their cultures. Raffles, keiki (kids) activities, arts and crafts, business and delicious food vendors round out this two-day outdoor festival. Free, all ages.

Portland Iranian Festival in SW PDX
The Festival’s theme is to honor the amazing women and artists that have contributed so much to this rich cultural heritage. This year the stage will feature the world-renowned Rahim Shahriari, the Eshta Divas dance group, DJ Nima, and the fantastic artists and business owners of our own community. There will be lots of Persian cuisines, dancing, and activities, so bring your friends and family and party with Portland Persian-Style! All ages and free.

Obon Festival in SE PDX
Obonfest (Obon) is a summertime Japanese (and Japanese-American) festival commemorating one’s ancestors. In their honor, lanterns are hung, Bon Odori (Obon dance) is performed, memorial visits are made, and food is offered at home butsudans and temples. All are welcome! Families, non-Buddhist neighbors, and fun-loving food lovers will enjoy this annual Portland tradition. There is no entrance fee to come and enjoy.

Venezuelan Festival in SE PDX
This is the first Venezuelan Arts & Culture Festival in the PNW, with Venezuelan traditional dance, classical, folkloric and traditional music, a Tears of Joy Theatre bilingual puppet show based on a Venezuelan folktale, artists and crafters and cultural displays. All ages and free.
