About Us

Rose Caudillo is the VP of Operations for PDX Parent. Before taking a break from her professional career to raise two girls, Rose lived in Austin, Texas where she ran her own communications company and produced shows like the Texas Film Hall of Fame Awards and Quentin Tarantino’s 24 Hour Film Fest. When not glued to her laptop, she’s baking, gardening or playing cribbage with her girls.

Editor Denise Castañon loves the process of making magazines: taking ideas and turning them into something tangible that can help make the lives of fellow Portland parents easier. She has been with PDX Parent for more than six years, first as managing editor, and now as editor. Denise graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in print journalism and political science. She also has more than eight years of national magazine editing experience, including working on staff at Fit Pregnancy and Physical magazines. She lives in Southeast Portland with her husband and their daughter and son.

Tiffany Hill is our Managing Editor. She joined the PDX Parent team in 2021. She has more than 12 years of writing and editing experience, including seven years as a full-time editorial freelancer. Tiffany is from Honolulu, Hawaii, but loves calling Oregon home. She lives in Northeast Portland with her husband and their scrappy, adopted dog. When she’s not on assignment, you can find her playing roller derby or exploring the outdoors with a scenic hike.

Lauren Wylie is our Westside Senior Account Executive. Before moving to Oregon and starting a new career in sales, she worked in public health advocating for health policy change in low-income high schools in California. She lives in Southwest Portland with her two boys, husband and their furry dog child. She loves going on adventures with her family that include hiking, biking and exploring all things Oregon.

Melissa Light wears many hats at PDX Parent. She is the Distribution Coordinator and Events Manager. She also works part-time as an Educational Assistant for PPS. When she is not working, she can often be found on the tennis court; hiking in the Southwest and Northwest hills with her dog, Roxy; baking and spending a lot of time with her 12-year-old son, 9-year-old daughter and husband.

Meg Asby is our Digital Content Director. She officially joined the team in 2021 after years of contributing as a freelance writer and is passionate about connecting families with the best of Portland. She lives in Southwest Portland with her husband, two children, and pup Quimby. When she’s not working, Meg can be found hiking, kayaking, camping, or — most often — listening to an audiobook while making something in the kitchen.

Anne King is our Newsletter and Kids Calendar Editor. Anne is an award-winning creative who’s worked on in-house marketing teams around the country, including a university so recognizable it has its own Pantone color. She’s delighted to deliver resourceful and fun information to the inboxes of Portland families. When she’s offline, you can find Anne writing picture books, digging in her garden, traveling, and enjoying beautiful trails with her daughter and husband.

Tiffany Howard is our Art Director. After graduating from Missouri State University with a BFA in Graphic Design, Tiffany moved to Portland to explore the stunning Northwest and pursue her obsession with editorial design. She art directed Fresh Cup Magazine, contributed to Imbibe Magazine and designed The Specialty Coffee Chronicle for a decade before starting at PDX Parent Magazine. Outside of her design studio Tiffany is active surfing, snowboarding and chasing around her blend of four children ages 10-13, plus a revolving door of foster kittens.

Ashley Argyropoulos is our Eastside/Vancouver Account Executive. She was born & raised in Oregon and is a proud graduate of the University of Oregon business school. Go Ducks! Prior to taking a break from her professional career to have children, she spent time working in sales for the Portland Trail Blazers, Columbia Sportswear, and at Alpha Media managing sports talk radio advertising. She lives just south of Portland with her husband and two young children. When not out playing golf with her husband, you can find her at the Oregon Coast, attending a country music concert, cooking a new recipe, or taking her kids on awesome adventures around town.
