Down To Earth Forest School is an all-outdoor school serving Preschool through 5th grade on 128 acres of misty and magical forest land known as Mary S. Young Park in West Linn. Each day presents a new journey in the forest. We serve students from beyond West Linn, all across the Portland metro area, including Canby, Milwaukie, Lake Oswego, Tualatin, Gladstone, Oregon City, and Clackamas/Happy Valley.

We exist to show people education can be done differently and potentially shift the social belief that children must be fed or taught information in a traditional setting.

The mission of Down to Earth Forest School is to joyfully create a sacred and safe space in nature where young children can effortlessly realize their inherent strengths within a supportive community that fully embraces the expression of their true nature.

The vision of Down to Earth Forest School is to be a beacon of light, a shining example of how education that emphasizes freedom in a natural environment can set a strong foundation for the whole child to continue to care for and love the earth and understand their own belonging.

WHO: Preschool through 5th grade. Small classes of 10-14 children taught by experienced nature educators.
