Summer Filmmaking at the World Forestry Center Portland Starts August 2nd, 2021

Get the kids out of the house, off the screens and behind the camera! Our project based, in-person and online programs are the perfect Summer activity for aspiring filmmakers and content creators. NW Film Camps provide 10:1 student/teacher ratio featuring personalized instruction and peer to peer learning in a supportive, inclusive, covid safe, social environment.

NW FILM CAMP is proud to partner with the World Forestry Center at Washington Park this Summer!

This bucolic campus is also home to the Oregon Zoo, Hoyt Arboretum & Portland Japanese Garden.
Join us at Washington Park the Summer! NW Film Camp is located at 4033 SW Canyon Rd, Portland, OR 97221

Day Camp: Monday through Friday - 8:30am - 3pm Starting at $350 a week. Students Ages 11 through 17 are encouraged to enroll. Limited Space - Enroll Today.


Our in person and online camps are fun and creative project based programs designed to teach teamwork and collaboration. Activities range from production planning, location scouting, hands on tech and gear tutorials, introduction to industry standards, screenwriting, project management and so much more. These young media creators work in small teams or independently to produce short films to share with their communities, and beyond! We will be following all CDC, state and local guidelines regarding Covid-19 to ensure that all campers remain safe & healthy this Summer.


  • 8:30 - Drop off / Check in

  • 9:00 - Instruction / Pre-production

  • 10:30 - Onset Film Production

  • 12:00 - Lunch Break - Bring a lunch!

  • 12:30 - Team Building Outside

  • 12:45 - Continue Filming

  • 1:30 - Post-production work

  • 2:30 - Pick up - No later than 3:00pm
