Give your skater an unforgettable Spring Break! This week-long day camp blends roller derby skill-building sessions with fun off-skates activities, all inside the legendary Hangar at Oaks Park.

Camp Details

  • Dates: Monday 3/23 – Friday 3/27
  • Time: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM daily
  • Location: The Hangar at Oaks Park
  • Cost: $375 for non-members,  $325 for RCR members

Who Can Join?

  • Skaters ages 7–12
  • All genders welcome
  • Must be able to stand on skates unassisted
  • Must be able to get up from a fall without help

Skaters are grouped by skill level and will rotate between skating and supervised activities throughout the day—perfect for building confidence, derby skills, and new friendships.

Junior Roller Derby Summer Camp for Ages 7-17

At Roller Derby Summer Camp, campers engage in both on-skates and off-skate activities throughout the day! Learning fun roller derby skills, and doing creative off-skates activities like arts and crafts! Five weeks of camp are available, each tailored to a different age group and skill level, so you can choose the week that suits you best!

  • $375 for general public (non-RCR members)
  • $325 for current RCR members

*Limited scholarships are available for families who meet certain income criteria. Any household who meets eligibility for reduced or free lunches in the state of Oregon, based on this data, is eligible for a scholarship. Please email scholarships@rosecityrollers.com to apply. Camp Skill Levels
  • Beginner = has never been on roller skates before OR has some roller skating experience; minimal derby experience
  • Intermediate = roller skates regularly, can plow stop, may have attended a week of camp before; some derby experience (either at a week-long camp or within the league)
  • Advanced = current roller derby player; at minimum, has some bout or scrimmage experience

What We Provide

  • Gear – We will provide ALL necessary gear if needed!
  • Snacks - We’ll make sure the skaters are fed and having fun.

What To Bring

  • Skates, Pads, Helmet - Don’t have your own? No sweat! Our gear lending library has you covered and loaners are included in your reservation! If bringing your own helmet it must be multi-impact rated (bike helmets aren’t suitable for derby).
  • Mouthguard - Moldable Sisu mouthguards are recommended over the non-moldable kind, especially for skaters with braces or sensory sensitivities. We will offer the non-moldable kind for free.

Lunch & Hydration

  • Please pack a sack lunch each day.
  • Send a water bottle—hydration is part of the game!
