Camp Bookworm is a community-centered summer reading program designed to encourage children and families to build joyful reading habits through books, creativity, movement, and connection. The celebration event includes book creating, art, storytime, play, a balloon drop, and face painting
Families can download or pick up a Summer Reading Scavenger Hunt from Literacy Kid Lounge + Bookshop.
Children earn stickers, raffle entries, or small prizes by:
*Reading Books
*Being read to
*Completing at-home literacy activities
*Listening to audiobooks
*Drawing or creating stories
*Exploring books in everyday life
The program is intentionally low-pressure and flexible so families can participate from home, while traveling, or at their own pace throughout the summer.
The focus is on building joyful reading habits and positive relationships with books rather than strict reading requirements. Return your scavenger hunt by 8/15.
