The Five Oaks Triple Creek Neighborhood is hosting a free seed swap and giveaway, connecting new and experienced gardeners to share seeds and knowledge! We will also have a potting station where kids can take home and grow their own sunflower from seed.
Anyone who is interested in seeds or gardening can attend. While bringing seeds to swap is encouraged, it is not required.
At a seed swap, people bring seeds, spread them on tables, and people choose what they want. These seeds can include locally saved seeds, excess bought seeds, or seeds donated by a seed company. Sometimes seed savers sit with their seeds to share information and monitor what is taken.
We will also have related gardening activities and organizations present as well. Our goal for this event is to help our neighborhood be a bit greener, healthier, prettier, and more connected. We hope to see you there!
