Family Movie Series: An American Tail: Fievel Goes West

Sep 14 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Free

An American Tail: Fievel Goes West picks up the story of Fievel and his family about two years after coming to America to escape the wrath of the cats and to seek their fortune, they found the streets were not “paved with cheese” as promised. The family survived, but are now living in a poor mouse tenement; barely existing on the meager reserves of cheese and other essentials they do possess. They dream of the future and better days ahead. Necessity brings those dreams closer when the Mousekewitzes go from the mean streets of New York City to the wide open spaces out West, meeting old friends and new pardners, encountering new enemies and daring challenges. Vulnerability and bravado meet in the action-filled story set against the colorful background of America near the turn of the century where Fievel goes in search of his hero and ends up finding himself.

This event is open to youth ages 5 and up and their families. The film is free to attend but RSVP is required (although we understand things happen!). Everyone is welcome and encouraged to wear their pajamas to the screening and bring a comfy blanket, pillow, camp chair, or beanbag chair! Snacks will be provided.

The film is rated G and is 1 hour and 12 minutes long. Doors will open at 1:30pm and the screening will begin at 2pm.
