A free-family friendly drop-in event with storytimes, a family reading area, free book giveaways from Garden Home Community Library, arts & crafts provided by the THPRD Nature Mobile, a scavenger hunt in the library, and more. You can also learn how to decrease bird strikes on your windows. In conjunction with this event there is also have an interactive bird walk (registration required).

Feathered Friends Fun Day is a collaboration between Garden Home Community Library and Tualatin Hills Parks & Recreation Department (THPRD)’s Garden Home Recreation Center to celebrate birds. It’s part of the nationwide Flight Path program. Flight Path is the first campaign in the new Spark of Science@ My Library initiative. With the goal of sparking curiosity about science and creating a deeper understanding of how science can improve human health and the health of our planet, this initiative is a partnership between the STAR Library Education Network and HHMI Tangled Bank Studios.
